~9 months old~

MaKenzie turned 9 months yesterday, she had she 9 month check up and the Dr. said everything looks great and that we can start her on COWS milk. Yeppie $$$$ She had her first bottle yesterday and seemed to tolerate it half formula and half cow's milk for right now. Here are her stats:

~Weight~ 20 lbs. 6 oz
~Length~ 32 1/2 in. (Stanworth blood)
~Head~ 17 3/4 in.

This year was Kenzie's first Christmas and she was spoiled. She got clothes, 2 pairs of shoes, books, a little rocking chair, toys (including her first baby doll) and her TWO front teeth on top. I will post pictures next time.

She is now crawling all over the place. Let me tell you I sure do miss those days when she just laid there while I dressed her or changed her diaper.

Monday I go back to work. I am excited to go back but I will miss Kenzie like crazy especially now that she is to the age that she likes to play.

~Brrrr~

During this lay off I have finished some blankets, painted some much needed molding and doors in our house, made a fleece car seat blanket almost finished with another one. My next project is to paint KC's toy box that his uncle Stephen made for him. It is blue with some Walt Disney characters on it. I plan to take the characters off and paint it white and the put them back on. I will post a picture of it when I am done.

We are taking some Christmas pictures this weekend of MaKenzie, I will post a couple when we are done.

MaKenzie is so dang close to crawling, she would rather just scoot herself around on her butt. She also can pull herself up on to things like our coffee table. UhOh.

I feel bad for KC he is working so hard in this cold weather, his bosses are still busy putting in basements left and right. To think the cold weather has just begun for those who are from Delta we sometimes don't warm up until May sometimes even then it snows.

Everyone try and stay warm.

~Sinus Infection~

Poor MaKenzie has a bad sinus infection. She had a fever Thursday night and most of Friday, when I picked her up on Friday after work I decided "we were not going to go thru the whole weekend with a sick baby!" Sat at the Dr.'s office till quarter to 7 (better than the ER $$$$$), our wonderful doctor said she had a bad sinus infection and gave her a shot of anitbiotic (thank goodness lets kick this thing in the butt) and she has to take antibiotics for the rest of the week. Which is sad because she hates the medicine and I feel bad giving it to her, I keep telling myself "you are doing this so she can get better."

Something we need to do is write down "when was the last time she had Tylenol," because Thursday and Friday night she/us would sleep for a couple of hours then wake up and we found ourselves waking the other person up asking "when did you give her Tylenol last" which beats the purpose of shifts taking care of her.

~Vaccinated~

Well we did it all three of us are vaccinated for both the flu season and H1N1 season. Our hands and fingers are all dried out from using hand sanitizer all the time. It is funny how your perspective changes when you have a baby to worry about during flu season or anytime. I look at people and wonder "when was that last time you washed your hands" before they touch the baby. And YES I am one of those people that wipe down the cart with clorox wipes. We are trying our best to keep our little family healthy.

~6 Months~

Makenzie had her 6 month check up yesterday and her are her stats:

~Length~ 26 3/4 in. 95th percentile
~Weight~ 16 lbs 6 ozs 55th percentile
~Head~ 17 in. 75th percentile

She also received 4 shots including the flu shot (not the swine flu), we go back in a month to get the other half of the flu shot. Then we don't have to go to the doctor until her 9 month check up and no shots at that visit just a little prick on the toe to test her iron. She is growing up so fast.

We are getting everything ready for the hunting season KC and I both have cow elk tags and deer tags to fill. Our elk hunt starts this Saturday so I will take my camera and take a lot of pictures. Hopefully if won't be too cold, we will see.

The Week of "T"s

This week MaKenzie found her Toes and is just fasinated with them . She also has two Teeth that broke through on the bottom. Can't take a picture of them just yet but you can sure feel them. She had pictures done on Thursday and would not smile she just kept sticking out her Tongue.
KC and I got MaKenzie a walker and highchair, the plan was to wait for Christmas but as you can tell we caved in.

MaKenzie getting ready to eat breakfast in her high chair.

MaKenzie is growing up so fast we just thought that she would need these before then.

Also MaKenzie is starting to sit up by herself and every time I go to get the camera to take a picture she tumbles down. I will keep trying to get it on camera and post it.

Not sure if she got more in her mouth or on her face? She sure does love her cereal, butternut squash, and sweet potatoes.

Fishlake

This past weekend we went to Fishlake. KC's family goes there every year for about a week. We drove down on Saturday with my brother-in-law (Kris), his girlfriend (Missy), and their little girl (Kodiann). We rented a cabin for the night, it was called a rustic cabin, it had pretty much everything you wanted except for dishes, pot and pans. Which was ok we ate dinner that night from the lodge and on Sunday morning we ate breakfast up at the camp ground with everyone. I would post pictures but we thought that we lost the camera but silly me I forgot I left it in my father-in-law's truck (which is now in Rock Springs), so they will have to wait.

We started feeding MaKenzie rice cereal, she isn't quite sure about the texture but she seems to like the taste of it. I can't believe how fast she is growing. She is so cute with KC, she knows the routine when dad gets home from work she plays with him and talks to him (tells him about her day at the babysitters), while I cook dinner.

This coming up weekend we are going camping up Oak City Canyon with our friends Trent and Holli Bradshaw and their two little boys Cache and Trey. I will see if I can barrow one of my parent's camera and take pictures and post them next week.

Talk to ya then

Allergy or Cold?

Today we went to the Dr.s to see what could be wrong with Kenzie. Our nieghbor recently cut his hay so we were thinking she had hay fever (runny nose, sneezing, and her eyes keep watering), or could it be a cold cuz a little boy was sick at daycare. Well the Dr. said "maybe it is allergys but she is too young to have allergys plus even if it was we can't give her anything and same with the cold. So just keep sucking her nose with the bulb (not so fun) and if she gets a fever bring her back in." Also Kenzie is starting to get bumps on her gums and we all know what that means, TEETH! So we have had a fun week so far. Poor Kenzie, I feel bad for her.

Ok, I have finally figured out this whole blogging business. Well ok it is a working progress. The next step is to try and figure out how to download pictures. Till then we will just have the post
